About

Compassionate Care

To witness the experiences and growth of my clients is a wonderful privilege. I aim to help clients feel engaged and empowered to participate through responsiveness and honesty. In this work, we will partner together. My eclectic approach blends together mindfulness practice and cognitive behavioral therapy with a relational touch. I welcome client feedback, creating a collaborative and exploratory space for the inner work to unfold naturally. Read on to learn about my specialty areas. ___________________________________________________________________ I have worked in the mental health field for over 7 years, both in inpatient and outpatient settings, with adults, couples and children. These years of work have allowed me to curate and specialize my approach to specific populations. Perinatal Mental Health: I specialize in working with women navigating the perinatal (anytime surrounding birth or pregnancy) period and the complexity that comes along with the many new changes and challenges that arise. In these sessions you are provided support, reflection and practical tools to cope with the unpredictable nature of this season. This work will support your relationship with your child or children, by working towards healing your relationship with yourself. Parents/Children: My approach to developmental or mental health concerns with children is to work with parents directly. I offer parent coaching sessions to address these concerns and provide helpful tools for parents to navigate developmental changes and challenges with greater support and understanding. ____________________________________________________________________ A little about me... When I am not seeing clients, I am navigating my own marriage and parenting journey as a wife and mother to three children. Escaping into nature is often my where I am able to begin fitting pieces together. You will find me on long tromps in the woods with my overeager Labrador, Sonny. I am fond of design, reading and baking sweets (making messes) with my children. I'll leave you with a quote from a man whose writing inspired me to do this work. “To be sure, man's search for meaning may arouse inner tension rather than inner equilibrium. However, precisely such tension is an indispensable prerequisite of mental health. There is nothing in the world, I venture to say, that would so effectively help one to survive even the worst conditions as the knowledge that there is a meaning in one's life. There is much wisdom in the words of Nietzsche: "He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how” -Victor E. Frankl, Man's Search For Meaning-
